One attorney. One city. Unlimited potential
Claim it before someone else doesA wet tile floor in a Beach Boulevard grocery store. An unmarked step at a Pacific Coast Highway restaurant. A cracked walkway outside an apartment complex a few blocks from the sand. Falls like these happen every week across Huntington Beach, a city of roughly 201,899 people in Orange County, and the people who get hurt are often left wondering who, if anyone, is responsible. Under California premises liability law, the answer turns on notice. You generally have to show the property owner knew about the hazard, or reasonably should have known, and then failed to repair it or warn you. That is why the first few hours matter so much: photograph the exact spot, note the time, collect names of anyone who saw what happened, and ask that surveillance footage be preserved before it is overwritten. We handle premises liability cases on contingency, meaning no fee unless there is a recovery.
California asks fall victims to show the owner knew or should have known about the hazard. We build that proof from inspection logs, prior complaints, and how long the condition existed.
Stores, restaurants, and apartment buildings along Beach Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway frequently record their premises, but footage can be erased within days. We send an early preservation demand to keep that evidence available.

Most California premises claims carry a two-year filing window, but it is much shorter when a city, county, or state agency owns the property. Even if you were partly at fault, pure comparative fault means you may still recover a reduced share.
